Cape field hockey onto Division I semis, defeats Smyrna

Another year, another quest to the DIAA Division I field hockey finals for Cape Henlopen. The #1 seed cruised to a 2-0 win over 8-seed Smyrna on Thursday night.

Outshooting their opponent 20-0 and taking 18 penalty corners, the lone two goals of the night came off the sticks of Alia Marshall and Cammie Smith.

For Smyrna, Katelynn Porter was their star, finishing with 10 saves in the cage.

Cape will host Polytech on Tuesday, November 13th. In their previous matchup this year, the Vikings defeated the Panthers 1-0 on a last minute goal.
