Bennett posts shutout victory to capture City Championship

The James M. Bennett Clippers football team captured their second consecutive city championship, shutting out rival WiHi 35-0 on Friday night at County Stadium in Salisbury.

Clippers senior quarterback Brandon Scholl finished with 3 total touchdowns in the game, and senior defensive back Braden Glushakow returned an interception 28 yards for a touchdown.

Bennett (8-2) clinches a spot in the 3A East playoffs, where they will host a second consecutive playoff game next Friday. WiHi (6-4) finishes this season with their best record in six years and just outside of the 2A East playoffs.
