Bennett football scores first playoff win since ’90

SALISBURY, Md.- For the first time since 1990, the James M. Bennett Clippers can hang their hat on playoff win.

With a 41-14 win over Long Reach on Saturday, the Clippers not only got their first postseason win in 28 years, they became the first Bayside team ever to win a Maryland 3A playoff game.

The Clippers were led by the trio of SaQuan Cotton, Jahryn Long and Taki’ Davis, who combined for five touchdowns and three interceptions.

JMB, the number one seed in the 3A east, will host two seed Chesapeake-AA on Friday at 7pm.
