Avery Street in Salisbury to close for road work next week

SALISBURY, Md. – Officials have announced an upcoming closure of Avery Street in Salisbury.

We’re told the closure is so that a new protected pedestrian crossing can be installed. Avery Street will be closed from the Wayne Street intersection to the University Parking Lot access.

Work will begin at 7 AM on Monday, November 12th, and is scheduled to be completed at 4:30 PM on Friday, November 23rd, weather permitting. Drivers will be able to access the Salisbury University parking lot on Avery Street by turning onto Avery from South Division Street only.
