WiHi takes down Kent Island for first time in 11 years
SALISBURY, Md. – It was something that not a lot of people saw coming.
Eleven years in the making, and WiHi finally snapper their losing streak to Kent Island on Thursday night, 27-3.
The Tribe was all over the Bucs from the start, dominating on offense, defense and special teams.
Senior quarterback Khalil Evans put on a show, tossing and rushing in for a touchdown. Josh Shockley was the recipient of that passing score, while Jordan Briggs rushed in for six.
On the defensive side of the ball, WiHi’s Andre Matthews returned an interception for a touchdown in the fourth quarter, which all but sealed the game.
The win puts the Indians at 4-2 on the year, while Kent Island drops their second game in a row, also sitting at 4-2.
