Wicomico Public Libraries Project READ to host open house
SALISBURY, Md. – Wicomico Public Libraries will be hosting an open house for their Project READ program next month.
Project READ offers free, confidential, one-on-one tutoring in subjects such as reading, math, writing, speaking, computer literacy, health literacy, and job readiness skills, to adult learners.
45 adult literacy coaches have helped over 50 individuals in improving their life skills, becoming more successful, obtaining employment, and achieving greater independence, since the year 2016. These adult literacy coaches and the determination of the adult learners has led to the success of the Project READ program.
The open house is scheduled for Wednesday, November 7th, from 2 PM to 5 PM, inside the Entrepreneur Center located in the lower level of the Downtown Branch.
