Wico. early voter turnout could outnumber ballots cast in Presidential Election
SALISBURY, Md. – So far over 6,500 voters have put the check next to their picks for 2018 midterm election. But the opportunity to vote before election day is coming to a close, early voting ends Thursday at 8 p.m.
So now is the time to cast that vote, especially since this could a record for Wicomico County.
“We’re seeing tremendous turnout for early voting here in Wicomico County. We’re so pleased with that in fact we’re on track, pretty much, like we were for the presidential 2016 so there’s a lot of interest out there,” explains Anthony Gutierrez, Elections Director for Wicomico County Board of Elections.
And remember the more people that participate in early voting, the lower the lines on Election Day. For those that are waiting until November 6th, polls are open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. in Maryland and Delaware.
