Wesley falls to Frostburg for first time since 2003

The Wesley Wolverines football team fell to 4-1 on the season, dropping their Division 3 top 10 matchup with Frostburg State 35-34 on Saturday afternoon.

The Wolverines got three receiving touchdowns from receiver Alex Kemp (5 catches, 148 yards) in the loss, along with 130 yards on 19 touches from running back EJ Lee. Quarterback Khaliiq Burroughs finished 15-30 for 333 yards with three touchdowns, but also threw three interceptions. Wesley’s 5 turnovers plagued them in their first regular season loss at home since September of 2016.

Wesley (4-1, 3-1 NJAC) will look to get back in the win column next Saturday when they take on Kean. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
