Wesley drops final home game of season, 10-9 to Montclair St.

DOVER, Del.- Three losses, all by exactly one point.

For the first time in whatever, it seems as though Wesley College won’t be headed to the NCAA Tournament after a 10-9 loss to Montclair State on Saturday.

It’s the Wolverines third loss in the last four games, by a combined total of three points.

Wesley would hop out to an early 9-0 lead behind a touchdown from EJ Lee and Nick Bruhn field goal. A Red Hawks field goal would make it 9-3 at half, and it would stay that way until the 4th quarter when Ja’Quill Burch hit Kason Campbell for the 10-9 lead.

The Dub would have multiple chances to retake the lead, but after a fumble on the one-yard line and a missed 24-yard field goal, the result stood.

The Wolverines return to action on Saturday, 11/3 in the Route 13 rivarly at Salisbury University, kickoff set for noon.
