Weekend robbery under investigation by Dover Police
DOVER, Del. – Dover Police are investigating after a man was reportedly robbed early Sunday morning.
According to police, just before 1 AM Sunday, a 42-year-old male victim was in the area of S. New Street and W. Reed Street when he was approached by four suspects. One of the suspects proceeded to strike the victim in the face, while the others searched his pockets and personal belongings. The suspects reportedly took several personal items from the victim before they fled west towards Queen Street.
The victim was taken to Kent General Hospital and treated for knee, neck, and back pain as a result of the robbery.
The four suspects were described as follows:
- Suspect #1 – Black male, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans with design/bleach spots, and white shoes
- Suspect #2 – Black male, wearing a black jacket with gray hood, dark pants, and black shoes with white soles
- Suspect #3 – Black male, wearing a hooded jacket with design on the back, white stripes on sleeves, and dark pants
- Suspect #4 – Black male, wearing a blue and black jacket with a red hood, and jeans with a pattern on them
