Wanted probationer facing drug and firearms charges

DOVER, Del. – A Dover man was taken into custody on drug and firearms charges on Monday.

Just after 2:30 PM, Dover Police and Delaware Probation and Parole located 25-year-old Zachariah Gilbert, a wanted probationer, at a home in the Unit Block of S. Queen Street in Dover.

Police found crack cocaine and marijuana that was packaged for sale, as well as two handguns, in Gilbert’s possession.

Gilbert was subsequently taken into custody and charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and four counts of possession of firearm/ammo by person prohibited. He was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute on $25,250 cash bond.
