SALISBURY, Md. – Wicomico Sheriffs have arrested two people on drug charges following a traffic stop on Monday.

Just after 1:30 PM, a deputy initiated a traffic stop on Lake Street, for an equipment violation. After making contact with the driver, 20-year-old Remere Moise, the deputy learned that he was driving on a learner’s permit and that his passenger, 19-year-old Aziz Seck, did not have a license at all.

During the encounter, the deputy detected the smell of marijuana coming from within the vehicle and noted paraphernalia in plain view. A search of the vehicle was conducted, leading to the discovery of a baggie of what was identified as crack cocaine, in the glove box.

Moise and Seck were both arrested for possession of crack cocaine and taken to the Central Booking Unit for processing. Moise was released on $5,000 unsecured bond, and Seck was released on personal recognizance, following an initial appearance.
