Shooting leaves one man dead in Accomack County; investigation ongoing

ACCOMACK COUNTY – The Accomack County Sheriff’s Office says that an early morning shooting left a 21-year-old man dead on Sunday.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 4:28 AM they received a report that two victims were being taken to Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital from the Exmore area with apparent gunshot wounds.

Upon arrival at the hospital, deputies reportedly learned that 21-year-old Hasaan Burton of Virginia Beach died from his injuries.

The second victim was treated and released.
