Salisbury Fire hiring 12 new full-time firefighters
SALISBURY, Md. – Salisbury’s Fire Department is now hiring 12 new full-time firefighters next year. The move comes on the heels of an awarded $1.5 million grant from the Department of Homeland Security.
The city says the firefighters are needed to help with calls and staffing at station two.
“This will provide us an opportunity to staff that station 24 hours a day with dedicated staffing and it will also enhance our ability to respond to more calls and put the right amount of people on our fire engines and all our other equipment to provide a safer environment for our people,” explains Salisbury Fire Chief John Tull.
Salisbury Fire is accepting applications now for the 12 new positions that will start in February 2019. Anyone interested can visit Salisbury Fire’s website for more information.
