Princess Anne Town Commissioner arrested on outstanding warrant

Lionel Frederick being held without bond

Princess Anne, Md. – Officials in Maryland are reporting that, for the second time in less than two months, Princess Anne Town Commissioner Lionel Frederick has been arrested, and is currently behind bars.

According to online court documents an arrest warrant for failure to comply was issued for Frederick on October 2 and served Thursday morning at the Somerset County District Courthouse, where his assault and false imprisonment trial was set to begin.  47 ABC spoke with the special prosecutor in that case, Kristen Shultz of the Wicomico County State’s Attorney Office, and learned that Frederick’s warrant had become outstanding and a motion to revoke his bond was granted, leading to his arrest and incarceration at the Somerset County Detention Center without bond.

Shultz informed 47 ABC that further criminal information was filed and the case has been transferred to Circuit Court. A date for that trial has not been set yet.
