Parents and kids love annual Treat Street
SALISBURY, Md.– Wednesday night the plaza was jammed pack with fairies, lions, and super heroes , just in time for the annual Treat Street event.
Since 2008 the Salisbury Jaycees have hosted the Halloween festivity in Downtown Salisbury. Officials say they created the event in response to growing concerns about kids safety during the spooky holiday. Kids of all ages were able to go from table to table to pick sweet treats or even play games. A safe environment, parents say is exactly what the community needs.
“If you’re at home watching this you’re gonna wish you were here. There’s tons of tables and activities and things to do and great people are here. A safe place for the community,” says JJ Remo, Salisbury resident.
If you missed Treat Street this year, no worries the event happens every year, right in Salisbury from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
