New York man arrested on alcohol charges following traffic stop in Dover
DOVER, Del. – A New York man faces charges after a large amount of alcohol was discovered inside his vehicle during a traffic stop.
On Friday, October 19th, Delaware River and Bay Authority Police (DRBA) conducted a traffic stop on 46-year-old Gui Wei Pan, of Flushing, New York. Officers reportedly located a large amount of alcohol inside Pan’s vehicle, and called the Division of Alcohol & Tobacco Enforcement (DATE) to assist.
DATE found Pan to be in possession of more than eighty (80) cases of various brands of alcohol with an approximate value of $12,000. He was charged with illegal transportation of alcohol, prohibited transportation of alcohol without possessing proper license, and attempt to evade or defeat tax. Police also confiscated the vehicle and over $1,700.
He was arraigned and released on $3,400 unsecured bond.
