Mayor of Snow Hill resigns

SNOW HILL, Md. – Mayor John “Charlie” Dorman has reportedly resigned from the town of Snow Hill, effective October 31st, 2018.

The Town Council says they will be meeting to discuss an interim replacement for his position.

As a result of Mayor Dorman’s resignation, the Town will be adding the Mayor seat to the next election, scheduled to take place May 7th, 2019. The elected candidate will serve in this position for one year until the normally scheduled Mayor election takes place in 2020.

The 2019 election will also include the council seats for the Western and Central Districts.
