Man arrested in connection to shooting at Dover Inn, facing additional drug charges in separate investigation
DOVER, Del. – Delaware State Police have arrested a man in connection with the shooting and robbery incident at the Dover Inn on Sunday evening.
23-year-old Antonio Bynum was arrested and charged with first degree robbery, three counts of attempted first degree robbery, first degree assault, possession of a deadly weapon during commission of a felony, home invasion, possession of a firearm by person prohibited, three counts of aggravated menacing, three counts of reckless endangering, and second degree conspiracy.
He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $432,000 cash bond.
These charges are in addition to the conclusion of a two month long drug investigation in Dover.
Police say a narcotics search warrant was executed on Tuesday in the area of Lambert Drive within the Meadowbrook Acres community, involving Bynum.
A search of Bynum’s residence led to the discovery of approximately 2.5 grams of cocaine, 0.32 grams of crack cocaine, eight 30 mg Oxycodone Hydrochloride pills, a .40 caliber handgun ammunition, and over $900 in suspected drug proceeds.
Bynum was taken into custody without incident. Two small children and a female were also reportedly present during the incident, but were contacted and released on scene.
As a result of this investigation, Bynum was charged with possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited, three counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
