Magnolia man charged with unlawful sexual contact

CAMDEN-WYOMING, Del. – Delaware State Police have arrested a Magnolia man after they say he inappropriately touched two juveniles at the Caesar Rodney High School homecoming football game.

Officials say the incident took place at around 8:45 PM on Friday, October 12th. The School Resource Officer that was working at the game was contacted by a parent who reported that her 16-year-old daughter had been touched inappropriately while standing in line at the snack bar. Shortly after, a second parent reported that her 14-year-old daughter had also been touched inappropriately by the same suspect.

After investigation, troopers identified the suspect as 58-year-old Ricky D. Hardy. Hardy reportedly turned himself in at Troop 3 on Thursday, where he was subsequently charged with two counts of second degree unlawful sexual contact.

Hardy was arraigned and released on $10,000 unsecured bond. He was issued a no contact order with anyone under the age of 18, as well as no contact within 100 yards of any elementary, intermediate, or high school.

Police say Hardy has no affiliations with the Caesar Rodney High School.
