Locals discuss how they would spend Mega Millions prize
Tuesday night marked the mega millions drawing, and all over the country, people were buying tickets for a chance to win the 1.6 billion dollar prize.
This is the largest lottery prize in U.S. history.
Sadly, the chance of winning was only one in about 302 million.
Regardless, this was not stopping locals from grabbing a ticket or two on Tuesday.
We spoke to some of those locals about what they would do with the money if they won.
Kelsey Walker said, “Help my family out, support them.”
Cody Melton said, “I would leave, go out of state tell nobody, maybe give some to my family, just travel the world I guess.”
Tom Williams said, “Probably buy a couple houses, few cars, clothes and whatever, pay my family off and then after that there’s a whole list of things.”
The drawing took place Tuesday night at 11.
If no one wins, the prize will get even bigger.
