Local Job Fair showcases dozens of businesses

SALISBURY, Md.– The Centre at Salisbury will soon be hosting a job and career fair featuring dozens of businesses from across  the lower shore.

47 ABC’s Erica Murphy was joined by Lauren Barnas, the Director of Events at the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce to discuss the event on October 12th.

The job fair will run from 3:00-6:00 PM and will feature over 50 businesses looking to fill both skilled and unskilled positions.

Lower Shore American Job Center, a co-host for event, will also be on hand to assist with any questions and help participants prepare for potential interviews. We are told that there will even be a free resume “doctor” who will look over and critique any resumes before they are given to employers.

The event is open to businesses across the lower shore area seeking employees and the cost of a booth is $125. Barnas says that she is still taking applications for participating businesses until  October 5th.
