Indian River Bridge to be lit up for Breast Cancer Awareness month

The Indian River Inlet Bridge with pink lighting to support breast cancer awareness month

DOVER, Del. – A Delaware bridge is scheduled to be lit up in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

The Delaware Department of Transportation is promoting awareness by lighting the two State Route 1 toll plazas, as well as the Indian River Inlet Bridge, pink throughout the entire month of October.

DelDOT also plans to have a pink snow plow on display in various locations throughout the state this month.

“So many of us have been impacted by this disease and DelDOT is proud to join in the effort to promote awareness and show our support for everyone who has been affected by breast cancer”, said Secretary of Transportation Jennifer Cohan.
