Georgetown Elementary educator wins ‘Teacher Who Makes A Difference’ award
GEORGETOWN, Del. – On Wednesday, Georgetown Elementary students gathered to celebrate a deserving teacher. Lynelle Hyland, a third grade teacher at Georgetown Elementary School, is the winner of our ‘Teacher Who Makes a Difference’ award.
She’s been teaching at Georgetown for six years and everyone tells us she goes above and beyond for her students and other classmates.
We had a chance to surprise her on Wednesday for being a teacher in our area that is having a positive impact on our youth.
“Teaching is my passion and I believe it’s not just something I do, it is who I am. My kids are my favorite part and if I could change one thing I would get rid of all the paperwork,” says Hyland.
The ‘Teacher Who Makes a Difference’ award is brought to you in part by Accurate Optical. If you know of a teacher like Lynelle who deserves to be recognized for their hard work and dedication to teaching our youth you can nominate them on our website.
