Flu vaccination clinics announced in Worcester County
SNOW HILL, Md. – The Worcester County Health Department has announced several flu vaccination clinics to be offered this fall.
These clinics will be offered at health department locations in Pocomoke, Snow Hill, and Berlin. Appointments are strongly encouraged, but walk-ins will be accepted. Clinics will be held as follows:
- Pocomoke Health Center: Mondays, October 22nd, October 29th, and November 5th. 8:30 AM to 4 PM. For an appointment call 410-957-2005.
- Berlin Health Center: Fridays, October 26th, November 2nd, and November 9th. 8:30 AM to 4 PM. For an appointment call 410-629-0164.
- Snow Hill Health Department: Fridays, October 19th, October 26th, and Thursday, November 1st. 8:30 AM to 4 PM. For an appointment call 410-632-1100.
The Worcester County Health Department will bill in-network insurance providers for the flu vaccine, including Medicare and Medicaid. Other insurances may be billed, so you are asked to check with your carrier regarding coverage. In order to be billed, current insurance cards must be presented at the time of service. Those with Medicare should bring their new Medicare card. For those without insurance, the suggested donation for the flu vaccine is $15, however, no one will be denied service due to inability to pay.
Free flu vaccination clinics for students of any school in Worcester County, grades Pre-K through 12, will also be offered. These clinics will offer FluMist and the injectable vaccine on Friday, October 19th at the Pocomoke and Snow Hill Health Center locations, October 26th at Berlin Health Center, and November 5th at Pocomoke, Berlin, and Snow Hill Health Centers. All clinics will run from 8:30 AM to 4 PM.
