Endless Summer Cruisin’ runs smoothly

OCEAN CITY, Md. –  Car show enthusiasts from all over made their way to Ocean City for the annual Endless Summer Cruisin’ event.
It’s a car event that is sanctioned by the town and one that usually is a lot easier to control than other car shows like H2Oi.
and this year was no different.

Despite a three-car crash that left six people with minor injuries, it was pretty smooth sailing.

We’re told there were less arrests and an increase in citations. It’s something they expected with the new special events zone.

“Cruisin’ and Endless Summer Cruisin’ have promoters that are really willing to be a part of the solution and to work with the town, Mayor and Council and the Police Department to not only improve the event for their participants, but improve the event for people that live in Ocean City. I think that’s what we saw this weekend was some of the steps we’re taking to improve the event really made a different and what we saw behavior wise in Ocean City,” explains Jessica Waters, Ocean City Spokesperson.

Waters says having the special events zone has been a great addition to keeping events like Endless Summer under control and safe.   It’s a zone that was first implemented for Cruisin’s show during the spring.
