Elliott gets redemption from 2017, gets elusive Dover win
DOVER, Del.- For the second time in his young career, Chase Elliott is a race winner, but no win could come sweeter than this.
After 2017’s playoff race at Dover where Elliott lost the lead in the final seconds, redemption was on his mind today.
Leading for a total of 11 laps out of the 404 (overtime due to caution), the #9 car cruised past Denny Hamlin and Joey Logano who finished in second and third, respectively.
With the win, the 22-year-old locks up his place in the NASCAR Playoff round of eight as the circuit heads to Talladega.
