Early morning floods cause damage and close roads around Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md.– Early morning floods left many stranded and rerouting their way to work this morning as over 7 inches of rain fell over the course of 24 hours.

47 ABC’s Julian Sadur was out in Salisbury all Friday morning to check out some of the areas that saw the most flooding and damage.

On Naylor Mill Road off of North Salisbury Boulevard, cars became trapped in high waters leaving the road completely impassible.

Meanwhile, Pemberton Drive between Harbor Point and Crooked Oak Lane was shut down because heavy flood waters from Nanticoke Road washed a chunk of the road away.  This also occurred on Camden Avenue near Salisbury University.

Some viewers told 47 ABC that they couldn’t get out of their homes from the flooding and that they saw multiple trees down.

47 ABC will have the latest coverage on flooding and storm coverage coming up at noon.
