Drug investigation leads to the arrest of one in Salisbury
SALISBURY, Md. – A recent drug investigation led to the arrest of a Salisbury man on drug charges.
On Thursday, the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office joined forces with the Wicomico County Narcotics Task Force to conduct an investigation into the street level distribution of drugs in the 800 block of West Road, in Salisbury.
During this investigation, 26-year-old Deonte L. Jones was arrested in connection with the distribution of marijuana, after police say the amount of marijuana found and their individual packaging led them to believe that they were intended for sale.
Jones was charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute. He was detained in lieu of $10,000 bond following an initial appearance.
