SECRETARY, Md. – Warwick Elementary School in Secretary has announced that they recently received a generous donation from the First United Methodist Church in Secretary.
School principal Marybeth Blake and the school’s instructional team accepted a check from church Pastor David Kreek and church members on Tuesday.
“We are pleased to be able to assist, even a little bit. There is nothing more important than preparing our kids for life. And, anything we can do to support our teachers, we should do,” said Pastor Kreek.
“We are so grateful to Pastor Dave and our friends at First United Methodist Church for their ongoing support of Warwick Elementary,” commented principal Blake. “The entire instructional staff will have access to this donation, bringing benefit to all our students.”
We’re told the school plans on dividing the donation between each member of their instructional staff so the money can be put to best use in their classrooms. They say they are concentrating on the school’s primary initiatives for the school year, which include school safety and preparedness, constant student achievement, and continued professional development.
