Delaware Division of Public Health offering free drive thru flu clinic

 

DOVER, Del. – The Division of Public Health (DPH) has announced a free drive thru flu clinic that will take place next week.

On Tuesday, October 9th, from 7 AM until 6 PM, Delawareans aged 9 and up can receive their flu shot free of charge in the front parking lot of the DelDOT Administration Building in Dover.

Nurses from DPH, Bayhealth, and the Delaware Medical Reserve Corp will administer free flu shots to drivers and passengers. A pedestrian lane will also be available for walk-ups.

American Sign Language Interpreters and staff speaking Spanish, French, and Haitian Creole will also be on site.

Participants are asked to wear short sleeves or loose fitting clothing in order to provide easy access to the upper arm.

Governor John Carney, Lt. Governor Bethany Hall-Long, and others will receive flu shots from their vehicles following an 11 AM press conference.
