Del. State Police arrest Seaford woman on assault charges
LEWES, Del. – A Seaford Woman is facing charges after she reportedly struck her boyfriend with her vehicle Tuesday evening.
Police say that just before 7 PM, troopers were called to respond to the 35000 block of North Drive, West Bay Park, for a reported domestic incident. When police arrived, they found a 48-year-old male laying on the ground, who told police that his leg had been run over by a vehicle.
After investigation, officials learned that the victim and his girlfriend, 59-year-old Jacquelyn S. Peruchi, had gotten into a verbal argument earlier in the evening. Peruchi then reportedly got into her vehicle, put it in reverse, and struck the victim.
The victim was taken to Beebe Medical Center and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Peruchi is facing several charges, including possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, assault second degree recklessly intentional serious injury, reckless endangering second degree, and disorderly conduct. She was arraigned and committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $23,001 secured bond.
