UPDATE: Escaped offender found in Georgetown

UPDATE: Delaware State Police have apprehended 28-year-old Staci Weldon.

She was arraigned and committed to the Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on an escape after conviction warrant and a new charge of theft less than $1,500 where a victim is 62 years of age or older. She is currently being held on $12,000 cash bail.

GEORGETOWN, Del. – Officials are searching for an offender after they say she failed to return to the Sussex Community Corrections Center late last week.

We’re told that the offender, 28-year-old Staci Weldon, did not return after she was released on an approved work pass. Her whereabouts are currently unknown and a Warrant for Escape after Conviction has been issued.

Weldon (pictured above) is 5’8″, 116 pounds, with hazel eyes and brown hair. She has tattoos on her left and right arms, back, and neck.
