Cambridge Coin Club to host annual show

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – Coin aficionados from across Delmarva made their way to the Heritage Museums and Gardens of Dochester for the 46th Annual Cambridge Coin Show on Sunday.

The event, which is hosted by the Cambridge Coin Club, showcases thousands of coins dating back to the 1700s.

According to the President of the Cambridge Coin Club, Eric Peterson, some coins can value between $1 dollar to $4,000 dollars.

Peterson said the show features U.S. coins and even foreign coins with dogs and cats imprinted on them, and it is all for the community to enjoy.

“This event is a chance for the public collectors or even non-collectors to come and whether it be to give Christmas gifts or to fill holes in their collections for coins they don’t have a chance to purchase or to see any time else of the year,” said Peterson.

Peterson also said people in Cambridge often find old coins in their own backyards, and that is why this show is important to them.
