Burglary and unlawful imprisonment incident under investigation

GEORGETOWN, Del. – Georgetown Police are investigating a burglary and unlawful imprisonment incident that took place last weekend.

During the early morning hours on October 20th, police were called to respond to an address on Albury Avenue, where they learned that a 19-year-old female was asleep in her home when an unknown male entered her bedroom. The male suspect then reportedly entered the victim’s bed and held his hand over her mouth. The victim was able to free herself and began to scream, resulting in the suspect fleeing the residence.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 40s, 180-200 lbs, with some facial hair, wearing a white or light gray t-shirt and jeans.
