Attics of My Life reopens in Selbyville after fire burns previous store
SELBYVILLE, Del. – It’s a heartwarming story out of Sussex County where a store owner is finally re-opening after she lost her old shop to a fire.
Back in April, Attics of My Life in Berlin went up in flames. We’re told they lost $150,000 worth of their live savings in that fire. But owner Ashley Abell has picked up the pieces and started fresh and is now opening up her new store in Selbyville.
We’re told her children were her biggest motivation to continue with another location.
“To have everything that you’ve worked your entire life for it was awful. I need to keep going and once started and pushed through. I’ve got to show my kids you don’t stop living for your dream. You keep doing what you want to do,” Abell says.
Through this tragedy, Abell says she has reinvented herself.
We’re told this location is even bigger than the last and will allow them to do major wood work in house.
Their grand opening will take place this Saturday from 11 AM – 5 PM.
