Annual Pemberton Park Pumpkin Tour returns on October 26th
SALISBURY, Md. – Registration is open for those who would like to be a part of this year’s Pemberton Park Pumpkin Tour.
The event is scheduled to take place on Friday, October 26th, from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Cash prizes will be offered this year for pumpkins and displays in the tour. The best overall pumpkin will win $250, with $100 each for the spookiest and goofiest pumpkins.
Entering a pumpkin before October 25th is free; the cost is $5 for those entering a pumpkin the day of the event. Drop off and set up begin at 3:30 PM on October 26th and will be open until 5:30 PM.
The event is family-friendly and open to all ages and costs $10 per carload, but people will tour the trails on foot and vote for their favorite pumpkin. The event will also feature a hayride, bonfire, and a play presented by the Theatre Academy of Delmarva. Eastern Shore Kettle Korn will be on-site selling snacks, and Cub Scout Pack 184 will sell glow necklaces. Attendees should bring flashlights.
Lighting for pumpkins will not be provided and no open flames will be permitted, so those entering pumpkins should bring tea lights.
If you would like to register a pumpkin, you may do so at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center box office, Monday-Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM. Registration may also be submitted online here.
