2018 Maryland STEM Festival coming to UMES
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – The University of Maryland Extension 4-H STEM team is partnering with Maryland Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math Festival, Inc., and Somerset County Schools to bring the 2018 Maryland STEM Festival to UMES in Princess Anne.
The festival is scheduled for Wednesday, November 7th, from 5 PM to 7:30 PM. This event is reserved for K-12 students and their families.
Come out and experience robotics, a flight simulator, virtual reality goggles, 3-D printing, and many other fun STEM and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Agriculture, and Mathematics) activities. Important information about STEM and STEAM careers will also be available at the event.
The goal of the festival is to encourage students to take a greater interest in STEM, with hopes that they will pursue a career in STEM or a related field.
