2018 Coast Day set to take place on October 7th

LEWES, Del. – University of Delaware’s College of Earth, Ocean, and Environment will hold their annual Coast Day on Sunday, October 7th.

This family friendly event features numerous activities, from lectures to interactive exhibits. Some of the returning activities include the annual Crab Cake Cook-Off, the Oyster Shucking Competition, critter touch tanks, fish t-shirt printing table, and many more. A variety of food trucks will also be on site.

This year’s Coast Day theme is “Science Serving Coastal Communities”.

The event will take place at UD’s Hugh R. Sharp Campus in Lewes, and will run from 11 AM to 5 PM. Admission and parking are free, but you are asked to leave your pets at home, as this is not a pet-friendly event.
