Worcester Co: Stay cautious amid possible flooding

SNOW HILL, Md. – Delmarva could see some flooding across the peninsula over the next couple days.

That’s why local counties like Worcester are reminding folks to be cautious as we go into this weekend.

We’ve already seen flooding in Snow Hill this week and emergency services says they are expecting flooded roadways especially on the bayside in the coming days.

“It’s going to be just about as wet and soggy as it was last weekend. We are looking for the possibility of downed trees because of the saturated ground and the trees not being able to support themselves,” explains Fred Webster, Director for Worcester Co. Emergency Services.

If you do come across downed trees, you’re asked to please call 911 so emergency services can promptly remove it and direct traffic to alternative routes.

Also we’re told the best thing to do for flooded roads is to just turn around, don’t drown.
