Town of Milton holds annual police department night out

MILTON, Del. – In Delaware, residents and town officials celebrated night out in Milton. The annual event allows families and children of all ages to meet and visit with their local first responders. Officials say event goers were able to learn about each specific agency and the equipment they use to keep everyone safe.
They say the night also provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

“Everybody Comes together and it shows the unity, and the community sees the unity that we have as first responders. Not just police officers, but police, fire, EMS, paramedics are here from Sussex County. So to me it’s a great way to interact with our community and them see us in a different light,” said Milton Police Department Chief Robert Longo.

Longo added that this was the ninth year in a row that the town’s held this event for every community member to enjoy.
