Three people arrested on drug and gun charges

DOVER, Del. – The Dover Police Department, along with Delaware Probation and Parole, arrested three subjects on various drug and gun charges on Monday.

Officers first contacted 19-year-old Thomas Bolden, in the area of downtown Dover, for violation of probation. Officers then began an administrative search of a room at the Dover Inn, where Bolden was reportedly staying. When officers entered the room, they found 25-year-old Derrick Wilcox located inside.

The search led to the discovery of a 9 mm handgun, 45 caliber handgun, 103.9 grams of marijuana, and a magazine loaded with .223 ammunition. 24-year-old Bobby Pitts arrived at the hotel during the search and was taken into custody.

Bolden was committed to Sussex Correctional Institute on numerous drug and gun charges. Pitts, also facing numerous drug and gun charges, was released on $42,500 unsecured bond. Wilcox was released after being charged with possession of marijuana.
