Teen arrested after allegedly sexually assaulting two juveniles in Del.

HARRINGTON, Del.  – Law enforcement reports that a 14-year-old was arrested on rape charges in Harrington.

The Harrington Police Department says on August 30, a 14-year-old Harrington girl was arrested in connection with the investigation of a sexual assault complaint. In January 2018, Police say they received a report of a sexual assault that happened in in the 300 Block of Second Avenue.

After further investigation and assistance from the Child Advocacy Center, authorities determined that the suspect sexually assaulted a 13-year-old and a 14-year-old on two occasions at a residence on Second Avenue. Officers report that they obtained warrants for the suspect and she later turned herself into the Harrington Police Department.

According to the report, the suspect was charged with two counts of rape fourth degree with a victim less than 16 years old.

Harrington PD says the juvenile was processed and released to the custody of her parents pending a future court appearance in Kent County Family Court.
