Somer’s Cove Marina goes purple to support “Somerset Rains Purple” program
CRISFIELD, Md. – Somer’s Cove Marina is jumping on board with “Somerset Rains Purple.”
Donning purple banners and bows, boats up and down the marina are standing in solidarity with those who are victims of opioid abuse.
A competition for “best dressed boat” was held Saturday night — the winner — the boat sporting the most “purple”.
Marina manager Mary Taylor says there’s no better way to spread awareness to end the epidemic.
She also tells 47 ABC the more organizations that get involved, the better.
Taylor said, “Everybody should be on board with this. This is an epidemic all across the country and we all need to join together and fight it.”
