Laurel man arrested on drug charges

SEAFORD, Del. – A Laurel man has been arrested following a traffic stop in Seaford.

At around 7:46 PM Monday evening, a Delaware State Police trooper initiated a traffic stop after observing a black Chevrolet pickup truck traveling westbound on Concord Road fail to use their turn signal to turn onto northbound Sussex Highway. It was then discovered that the driver of the vehicle, 43-year-old Todd A. Hathaway, was driving on a suspended license.

Troopers conducted a search of Hathaway’s vehicle, discovering approximately 15.06 grams of methamphetamine, over $1,200.00 in suspected drug proceeds, and drug paraphernalia.

Hathaway was transported back to Troop 5 and was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while suspended or revoked, and failure to signal lane change.

Hathaway was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court 3 and was later released on $52,025.00 unsecured bond.
