Salisbury smothers Kean in shutout victory

The Salisbury University football team got their second victory of the season on Saturday, defeating Kean University 28-0.

Salisbury’s offense struggled early on, but we’re able to get a 2 yard touchdown by Kaddarius Campbell on their third drive of the game, to take a 7-0 midway thru the second quarter. The Gulls would take that 7-0 lead into halftime.

In the third quarter, the Gulls would get touchdowns from backup QB Jack Navitsky and DL Matt McFarland in the third quarter, along with another score from Campbell in the 4th to seal the deal.

The win moves Salisbury to 2-0 on the season. Next week, the maroon and gol

d host TCNJ, game time is set for 6:00pm at Sea Gull Stadium.
