Recovery home in Berlin seeking donations to get facility up and running

BERLIN, Md. – Hope4Recovery Inc. is set to settle on their new location in Berlin on Friday, which will become Worcester County’s first recovery home.

The location is right across the street from Atlantic General Hospital and we’re told once they settle they’ll begin wording will start working on the construction phase.

Their executive director, Patrice Ottey tells 47 ABC, they need to put in fire sprinkles and an alarm system. As of now, they are in need of monetary donations to get things up and running.

“We are still raising money for the fire sprinkler system, we haven’t gotten there completely but there are so many other things. Furnishing the home, making it a comfortable home for the men, insurance, anything that you would do for a normal residence,” Ottey says.

The recovery home was approved by the Berlin Board of Zoning back in June and if everything runs smoothly, they expect to be open by the end of October.

Currently, they do not have a donation goal, but if you’d like to donate you can head to their virtual fundraiser on their Facebook page here.
