Pocomoke boys soccer hands Colonel first loss of the season
POCOMOKE CITY, Md.– The Pocomoke boys soccer team handed Colonel Richardson their first loss of the season, erasing a 1-0 halftime deficit to win 2-1 on Wednesday night in Pocomoke City.
Tanny Pierre-Louis got the scoring started in the 33rd minute of the first half, sending a rocket off a feed from Harley Maldonado into the back of the net to give the Colonels the 1-0 lead. The road team would carry that lead into the half.
In the second half, the Warriors got started early. Kaden Taylor sent a corner kick into the box that would ricochet and find the head of D’Aron Jones for the equalizer just 3 minutes into the second half. The teams would battle for another 15 minutes, until Pocomoke grabbed the go-ahead goal put in by Gabe Nock.Warriors goalie Ethan Peterson would make a number of crucial saves to keep the lead, and give his team the win.
