Millsboro man arrested on domestic assault charges
REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – State Police arrested a 31 year-old Millsboro man, Kyle B. King on multiple felony charges after a domestic related assault incident.
Police say that King showed up uninvited to a female acquaintance’s home heavily intoxicated. Becoming aggressive, King allegedly grabbed her by the throat after she repeatedly asked him to leave.
According to the statement, the victim was able to free herself from King and fled the residence.
Police report King fled inside after they attempted to question him about the incident when they found him sitting in a vehicle outside the residence.
King allegedly locked all doors and refused to comply with Police after multiple commands to stop.
Finally able to enter the residence, Police took King in to custody after a brief struggle.
Officials report the incident happened at approximately 1:00 a.m., Sunday, September 2, in the 100 block of Munchy Court.
After his arrest, police charged King one count each of burglary in the second degree, strangulation, offensive touching, menacing, criminal Mischief, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
King was arraigned in Justice of the Peace court #3 before being committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $8,500 secured bail.
