MD: Officials looking to fill vacant Deputy State Fire Marshal positions
EASTON, Md. – The Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal is looking to fill seven vacant Deputy State Fire Marshal positions across Maryland, and they’re looking to fill these positions by holding orientations for interested candidates. Officials say attending one of their orientations is mandatory and the first step for the highly selective position. Tuesday’s orientation was held in Easton, and officials say that it’s imperative that they get these jobs filled as soon as possible.
“Orientation is the first part you have to come to one of the mandatory orientation and after that there is a physical agility a written test and background do we also do a polygraph for the individual and then there’s oral interview boards so there’s quite a few steps that you have to meet in,” said Chief Deputy Fire Marshal Gregory Der.
The next orientation will take place Wednesday at the Hughesville Fire Department at 7 PM.
